Wild Art- Revealing Patterns from the Forest #1
Wild Art draws inspiration from earth and land artists, Andy Goldsworthy, Nancy Holt and Robert Smithson. The goal will be for children and their families to create work with their bare hands and natural materials that will temporarily become part of the forest. The work will be photographed and shared on the CCF and ASA social media sites. All kids must attend with an adult. These workshops are designed for kids ages 6+.
"Wild Art- Revealing Patterns from the Forest #1" will be taught by Zena Verda Pesta. Zena is a local artist and educator who is passionate about the earth and early childhood education.
Participants will use trees and leaves to observe patterns through rubbings and collage.
This workshop is designed for kids ages 6 and up. All kids are required to bring an adult for supervision. Tick protection is highly recommended.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be held on October 16th at 10:00 am.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support from the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
