Wild Art - Nature Grieving with Clay
Date: October 23, 2021
Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Place: Cambridge Community Forest
Address: please park at the tennis courts at Cambridge Central School and walk over to the forest

ASA’s very first program offered at the Cambridge Community Forest, Wild Art draws inspiration from earth and land artists, Andy Goldsworthy, Nancy Holt and Robert Smithson. The goal will be for children and their families to create work with their bare hands and natural materials that will temporarily become part of the forest. The work will be photographed and shared on the CCF and ASA social media sites. All kids must attend with an adult. These workshops are designed for kids ages 6+.

"Nature Grieving with Clay; Letting go of our Holdings " will be taught by Zena Pesta.

Participants will forage for sticks, pine cones, colorful leaves, acorns, and stones that cover the forest floor to create their projects. Clay will be provided.

This workshop is designed for kids ages 6 and up. All kids are required to bring an adult for supervision. Masks will be required and tick protection is highly recommended.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support from the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
